Permitted Use

Lab42 is intended for personal, academic, and professional use. You may use Lab42 to process documents you own or have the right to modify. Examples of permitted use:

• • Compressing PDFs for easier email delivery
• • Removing unused pages from your own documents
• • Adding a watermark to your own files
• • Protecting or unlocking PDFs you own

Prohibited Use

You must not use Lab42 to:

• ✕ Process documents you do not have the right to modify or distribute
• ✕ Bypass copyright or DRM protections
• ✕ Attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• ✕ Automate requests in a way that circumvents rate limits
• ✕ Use the service to process confidential data from third parties without their consent

Service Limits

Temporary File Storage

For server-side operations (Compress, Protect, Unlock), your file is temporarily stored on our server for processing. All uploaded files are automatically deleted within 1 hour. We do not access, read, or retain the content of your files beyond what is strictly necessary to perform the requested operation.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Lab42 is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times, free from errors, or that the output will meet your specific requirements. Always keep a backup of your original files before processing.

Limitation of Liability

Lab42 and its operators shall not be liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Lab42 after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
